Tilting Check Valve

Description

Tilting Disc Check Valve is one product similar to the swing type check valve, but with the flap pivoted in front of its centre of pressure and counterweighted or spring loaded to assume a normally closed position. When flow is in the forwards direction, the disc lifts and ‘floats’ in the stream offering minimum resistance to flow. The disc is balanced so that as flow decreases, it will pivot towards its closed position, closing before reverse flow actually commences. The operation is smooth and silent under most conditions. Due to the design of the tilting disc check valve, it is limited to use on liquid applications only.
Vatac Tilting Disc Check Valves are designed and manufactured strictly to International Standards API 6D, ASME B16.34 or Equivalent, to reduce the flow resistance and pressure drop to the minimum possible extend with a feature of compact structure & Low emission service.

Main Features & Advantages

Short Disc Stroke provides quick closing and reduces water hammer lift & Tilt Seat Action preventing or Minimizing wear Drop tight seating meets or exceeds international standards, Easy in-line service, Superior tightness, conical, lapped-in hardfaced seating is self-aligning. Valve can be used even in vertical piping with flow up

» Few moving parts minimizing wear.

» Axial movement of disc resulting in low pressure drop.

» Short stroke of spring-assisted disc providing valve closure quick response

Vatac Non Slam Check valves deliver an effective dynamic response under various flow deceleration conditions, this unique design features result in superior performance, fast response and lower pressure loss in piping systems.
